Sapelo Sunrise – Limited Edition of 50 S/N Giclee on canvas image size: 20″ x 28 ¾”

Some of the most peaceful times of my life was when I reflect back to the time I was standing on the beach with my parents on Sapelo Island. Early in the morning before sunrise, at low tide, we listened to the sound of waves splashing softly onto the sand. We could also hear birds preparing for another day as they flew from the sand dunes out to nearby shrimping boats a couple hundred yards offshore in search of a free meal. Standing on the beach, we enjoyed the fresh ocean breeze as we observed the beginning of a spectacular sunrise. The sun appeared to be a glowing red orange ball, rising from the surf filtered by a thick low lying cloud coverage. As the sun continued to rise, it finally breaks through the clouds and the sun rays suddenly begin to illuminate the top of the trees on the nearby sand dunes. This experience I would have to describe as the most spectacular “Sapelo Sunrise”.
